Spring Ride April 2019 and the Melrose Trip

The Melrose Trip

On the 13th of May 2019 a party of 20 will be meeting for a 4 day stay at the Waverley Castle Hotel in Melrose in the Scottish Borders.  2 rides will be available each day for a choice of medium or longer routes.  We are hoping for some good weather to enjoy riding in this interesting region of the Central Tweed Valley.  Details of the hotel can be found on the Shearings web site. Further details about the routes will follow as they are checked out.

The Spring Ride 2019

This year’s Chesterfield Spire Spring Rides will be held on Saturday 13 April 2019. There are two versions of the ride, the longer being 67 miles in length and the shorter 53 miles. Both rides follow the same route to Monyash for a morning coffee stop. The longer ride then completes a circuit to the south of Ashbourne before arriving at Carsington Water for lunch. The shorter ride also heads to Carsington Water for lunch but takes a more direct route, using a 3 mile section of the Tissington Trail, before passing through Parwich. Both rides then follow the same route back to Chesterfield, passing through Cromford, Dethick, Littlemoor and Grassmoor en-route.
